Birch Bay Retirement Village announces new executive director
BAR HARBOR — Birch Bay Retirement Village has announced the appointment of Robert Hemenway as its new executive director.
Hemenway joined Birch Bay Retirement Village as executive director in October 2023. He holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Monmouth University and a Master’s of Social Work from Rutgers University. He began his career as a social worker in a special education school and then transitioned to a hospital setting, first in a state psychiatric hospital and then with an acute care hospital in New Jersey.
